Because Calvin's delivery was extremely fast, for the past couple of weeks I have had this thought in the back of my mind that we might not make it to the birthing centre this time around and should be open to a home birth. Ideally I don't want to give birth at home, but I am open to any outcome since pregnancy and labour is so unpredictable. Before even mentioning my concerns to my midwife, Wendy recommended that I take a home birthing kit, and have an in-home appointment at 37 weeks so they know where we live and be prepared for any outcome. I feel so much better having talked it over with her and Alex. I am just so grateful so have an amazing support system that help me feel calm no matter what may happen.
How far along are you? 31 weeks.

Due date: June 22nd

Sleep: It varies night to night. Not out of discomfort, I just wake up now and again, and it takes a while for me to go back to sleep.

Movement: His movement has become pretty intense lately. He was practically moving all of yesterday.

Food cravings: Had a random craving for Ikea hot dogs the other day. Luckily my midwife clinic is right by there, so we made a quick stop before my appointment.

Favourite moments: Calvin and I have been having a lot of conversations about his baby brother. They are such sweet moments that I cherish.

Happy or moody? Happy

Looking forward to: Nicer weather. We had a gorgeous day on Monday and were able to go to the park as a family. While the rest of the week has been raining and miserable. I love the neighbourhood we live in, and I am dying to get out on some family walks!

Other: I still can't get over how comfortable I am compared to last pregnancy. There are days and moments when I forget I am pregnant. Last Saturday I was a cleaning machine and may have slightly overdid it. The next day my body wasn't too happy with me, but I am so grateful at how mobile I am this time around.
