I've talked about this before on my blog, but getting used to your postpartum body can be a huge struggle. Even though I am still relatively clueless in this department, I thought I would share a few tips that have helped me learn to accept and love my new body. Unfortunately Calvin was taking a nap during the filming, so no entertaining chatter from him this week.

Luckily I was able to control myself and not say the word awesome...but apparently I replaced it with saying "so worth it" all the time. Not going to lie it's quite hilarious editing a video and noticing a phrase or word that you repeat over and over again.

There are many things that I love about being a mom (if I were to make a list it would probably crash whatever device you are reading this from), but I think one of my favourite things is seeing Calvin learn. The way he has slowly discovered that his hands are in fact his hands, if you put a toy in front of him he reaches to touch and grab it, and he loves the sound of his own voice.

I feel that the pair of us are constantly growing and learning.

This weekend one of my nearest and dearest friends got married! It was the first live sealing Alex and I have been to since our own 2 years ago. It was such a special day to watch my best friend make covenants at the same altar we did. I am so happy that because of the temple and my Saviour, I can have this family of mine for eternity. And this boy gets to be mine, all mine :)

I thought I would join the Flogging bandwagon. The lovely Leah Joan came up with this idea of posting 1 video per week for 4 weeks, and I have been loving watching the videos other bloggers have posted. So here goes nothing!!!
PS. How many times can I say the word "awesome" in one video? Apparently my vocabulary is very limited. Also ignore the 2 zits on my face, I am a human being.

PSS. And I realize I am a day late joining the linking up party, but that wasn't going to stop me :)

One of my favourite things about our neighbourhood is the amount of parks that are walking distance from our apartment. Last week, Kelsi and I thought it would be a fun idea to go for a walk and explore some of the parks. We realized it was the first time since Calvin was born that we were able to hang out just us girls. It was so nice to talk and spend some time together. Even though she is married to my older brother, I sometimes forget that we are the same age, so we have very similar experiences.

This past weekend, Alex and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. My parents had Calvin stay for a couple days so we could have a little getaway. Even though we didn't leave Ottawa, it was nice to stay in a hotel, and have some time to ourselves (most of that time was spent talking about Calvin).

I still can't believe that it's already been 2 years. It seems like yesterday we  were kneeling over an alter together, and here we are a family of 3 now! I couldn't be happier! I can not wait to see what the years ahead bring us!!

I love every minute with Calvin, but this past month has definitely been my favourite! He is such a happy baby, just wants to talk all day. I just want him to stay this little forever!!!

Age: 3 months/13 weeks. Seriously where is the time going

Weight: 15.5 pounds

Clothing: 3-6 months

Sleeping: I know I've said this before but this kid is so incredible at sleeping! This week he started sleeping from 9 until 6:30, then goes back to sleep until 8:30. I am so beyond grateful, since I am one of those people that needs their sleep in order to function.

Baby Development: Calvin has started to discover his hands. He's able to move them to his mouth, and stares at them for a few minutes. It's pretty entertaining. He has become quite the little chatter box.

Likes: We tried him on a soother a couple days ago and he actually didn't freak out. Luckily he's not hooked on it, but it does save our pinkies from being sucked off. On our wall behind the couch we have a bill from Alex's mission and Calvin loves talking to it. He'll just lay facing it laugh away forever.

Dislikes: This is a no brainer but he hates being gassy. It usually happens around 6 o'clock at night, and he gets pretty upset about it. Luckily it doesn't last long but it's still sad seeing him in pain.

Other: This weekend Alex and I are going to be celebrating our 2 year anniversary, so Calvin will be staying at my parent's place. We're so looking forward to it, but I know that we are pretty much going to be talking about him non stop.
