"Life as we know it, it's going good.
That's an understatement.
It's going better than I ever thought it could.
Never been so happy, so content."
- Carolyn Dawn Johnson

It's such an amazing thing to see your child grow before your very eyes. Watching them try to talk, starting to figure out how to control certain parts of their body, and recognizing people. It's so beautiful, and I am loving every minute of it. I can't believe that in a few short weeks he will be 3 months, and Alex and I will be celebrating our 2 year anniversary. Where has the time gone?

Just this past weekend we went to a wedding reception for two of our good friends. It was so cute seeing the two of them as giddy newlyweds, and remembering our feelings on our wedding day. In some aspects I still feel like a giddy newlywed. My marriage with Alex is the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I've been able to have so many blessings because of it. Blessing #1 hands down is our adorable son who I can not get enough of!!

I love this life of mine. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

My love for summer comes down to one thing: swimming. Since I was about 8 I have absolutely loved being in or near water. Summer isn't summer unless I'm able to go for a few dips over the short few months. But this year I needed to find a swimsuit first :)
Swimsuit shopping has always been a frustrating thing for me. It is so difficult to find something that covers well, has really good support, is comfortable and doesn't break the bank. There are a lot of options on the market, but I don't like spending over $50 for a swimsuit. I just can't justify it since my weight fluctuates year to year. Luckily this year I finally found something that is flattering for my post partum body, is breastfeeding friendly, and super affordable. I am so happy that high waisted bottoms are so easy to find! I got mine from Aerie and I absolutely adore them! They fit like a dream, are reversible and don't dig anywhere! The top is from Kohls. What drew me to it was the fact that it is super flow so even if I am pregnant during a summer it will still fit! And since it's black and white it will pretty much go with any bottoms I buy. If I would have purchased these two items at regular price, it would have cost a grand total of $85, luckily both items were on sale so I only spent $35. Now I am officially ready for the summer!

Age: 2 months

Weight: 14 lbs

Feeding: I'm finally at the stage where I enjoy nursing. I must admit that I love when someone else is holding him, but he gets kind of frustrated because he wants to be fed. Makes me feel wanted and needed. He has also been smiling a lot while feeding and it melts my heart every single time!

Sleeping: This kid sleeps like a dream. He goes down for the night at around 9pm and then gets up to feed at 5-5:30am, then goes back until 8:30-9am. Not long until we transfer him to his crib for the night. Although I must admit I'm going to miss having him so close!

Clothing: Just barely still fitting in 0-3 month clothing. He can fit into 3-6, but there is still room for plenty of growth in them.

Baby Development: He started smiling at around 6 weeks, and hasn't stopped since! He has become quick the chatter box and loves cooing. His little voice is so adorable, I can't get enough of it.

Likes: His Ikea baby gym, pig rattle from Aunty Meana, being talked to, going on walks

Dislikes: Still not a fan of soothers. We tried one just a few days ago and we wasn't having any of it.

Other: Over the past month Calvin has met a ton of people, and I love hearing everyone go on and on about how cute he is. Yep, he's a little cutie!
