Chapter 91

Yesterday I was finally able to go Boxing week Shopping with Meana. We went downtown and shopped the day away!!! First we went to Rideau Mall and then down to UO, then we did a much needed thrift stop at Value Village (yes it is our second home!) I didn't buy that much, but what I did buy was super cute!!!

Value Village - Bag 7.99
Value Village - Silk Blouse 7.999Urban Planet - Circle Scarf 5.00
I also bought a pair of leggings from American Apparel that I wanted for the longest time but couldn't convince myself to buy since they were really expensive. But I finally talked myself into it :D

My brother, Adam, and his girlfriend, Alicia, came down for a few days this week. Monday we had our second Christmas with them. I was totally surprised with their gift. Definitely was NOT expecting it!!!

Sephora Collector Make-Up Set!!!
They also got me a gift card for UO. I didn't see anything that I liked enough at the store, so I might just buy a couple things online and pay for shipping.

Hope you all have an AMAZING New Years!!

Chapter 90

I bought these coats on Friday. I love them!!! Exactly what I was looking for :D

Suzy Shier - Parka 40$

So I did a little room re-decoration today! I took down ALL my photos!!! I had them EVERYWHERE!!! On my closet and all over my walls. It looked pretty bare but once I put my hook up it looked much better!!!

Before, there were way more photos, but they were starting to fall down. That explains all the blank holes :S

Chapter 86

I am determined to buy a pair of rain boots this year. Here are a few from Charlotte Russe, that I really like:

What do you all think?

Chapter 85

I've decided to start something new on this blog. I am going to be featuring!! I don't know who I will be featuring down the road, or what even, but I thought I should at least share with you my favourite bloggers, designers, artists, photographers, along the way. So here goes the first ever feature post on A Mile in her Shoes!! How EXCITING!!!!!!

Meet Gillian Ree, the founder and creative genius behind "Grace Like Rain".
I first came across Gillian through her tumblr and soon learned that she makes beautiful (I am talking GORGEOUS!) accessories! Then I "liked" GLR's Facebook page, Gillian then added me as a friend and to the Facebook group. I emailed her just a few days ago asking her if I could write a feature on her accessories, and she was very stoked about the idea.

Now a little bit of background of Grace Like Rain. During a gap year in England, Gillian was inspired by her beautiful surroundings and all the amazing people she was meeting. She began to make headbands, just as a simple hobby. She would fine interesting pieces at markets and could see them on headbands. Her friends quickly started to ask her where she bought, and when she told them that she had made them, they immediately encouraged her to start selling them.

Now here are my absolute favourites from her site. I do love them all, but here are some top picks:

Adina - 25$
Abigail - 22$
Benjamin - 25$
Isaac - 25$
Shiloh - 15$
Zibiah - 12$
Gillian vision is all about making one of a kind accessories as beautiful and unique as the girls who they are made for, celebrating the one-of-a-kind beauty in all of creation.
"The products themselves are representations of the unique beauty everywhere in the world. I love coming up with new ideas that sometimes work, sometimes don't but either way it is important for me to put something in to the world that wasn't there before. The art of creation is such a powerful gift and it is so special to be contributing to that." - Gillian Ree

Make sure to check out her site. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!! Now remember, everything on the site is one-of-a-kind, so if you see anything you want buy it! When it's sold, it's

Lots of love,

Chapter 84

He's amazing!!! Love you J-Biebs!! <3

Chapter 83

Webcam round two!!

Meana and I went to Value Village (again) last night and I was finally able to find my Christmas sweater!!!!! SOOO HAPPY!!! I also bought a cardigan and a really pretty floral cami.

When we went shopping, there was kind of a blizzard outside, so obviously the car got covered in snow and ice, so Meana had to scrape it off. It was pretty entertaining!!! Olive her!

Next when we went to the Superstore, and when we got back, the car was covered...AGAIN!!!! So I cleaned it for her. YOU'RE WELCOME!!!!!!! :D
Here are some pictures of my purchases last night:

Joe Fresh - Mint Green Nail polish 4.00
Value Village - Christmas Sweater 4.99
Value Village - Cardigan 7.99
Value Village - Rose Cami 4.99
Also last night I went to "The Works" with a bunch of YSA (Young Single Adults). All of you are probably wondering what The Works is. Well let me tell you! It is a famous restaurant here in Ottawa that makes gourmet burgers. Now when I say gourmet, I mean RANDOM!!!! They have every kind of burger imaginable, and have the strangest things you can put on it (ex: peanut butter....weird I know). If any of you make a trip to Ottawa in your life, you HAVE to go to The Works, it is the best!
It was kind of an event last night, because two of girls had never eaten at The Works, so 16 of us went after institute to chow down. The waiter was pretty hilarious! By far the best waiter I have ever had. He was really chill and acted as though he was part of our group. Well when my brother and I get there Tom (the waiter) is just sitting down with the group and talking. Mle, and everyone else decided to pretend it was birthday (even though it is in a month!). I kept telling him it wasn't, and I thought he believed me because he didn't mention it the entire time. That is until we paid. He told me to wait because he had something for me. He ran to the kitchen and came back with a card signed by the staff, and a coupon for a free burger for my next visit. I felt kind of awkward, but took it anyway. SCORE!!!!!!!

So thanks Tom!!!!! You're the best, and deserved the monster tip I gave you!!!

Well this post has kind of turned into a novel, sorry about that!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
